Zombotron Re-Boot
Full Reboot!
Hello friends,
As you know, we have been experimenting with the mobile version of the Zombotron Re-Boot game and have come to the conclusion that we should do a complete reboot of the game and not focus on mobile players.
What does this mean?
We have decided to abandon the casual stylization of the game and make the graphics more stylized and dark.
We have decided to abandon the chibi characters and make them more realistic proportions. We have made the characters' arms and legs longer - this not only changes the perception of the game, but also simplifies the creation of many animations and equipment.
We have decided to abandon linear levels in favor of a conditionally open world in which you can move in any direction to explore the game world. In addition, we plan to add some metroidvania elements to the game. We have noticed that many players like to explore the game and find various mysterious places. In this way, we hope to make the game deeper and diversify the endless action with additional activities and calm locations.
We also want to do a lot of work on the mistakes and make a full-fledged finished story that will better reveal the events taking place in the game. We have prepared a small teaser for the introductory cut-scene, which you can watch right now!
I really hope that we made the right decisions and you will support us on this difficult path! We will keep you informed about the development of the full version of the game and show how the game will change further.We have also prepared a small update to 1.4.1 version.
What's new?

I genuinely really like this change. I think it would make the game feel a lot grittier and darker than before, giving it more immersion. I'm very excited to see how it turns out!

I love how much you care about the game, to take this bold step. When I was reading about these changes on reddit, I was hoping you change your mind, but I now wish that this endeavour turns out to be even better than before. I'll be waiting for the full release.
